Our Team
All of our staff are certified teachers who have a combined teaching experience of over 30 years in preschool. We are all trained in first aid, cpr and value the importance of keeping kids safe. While we all have a unique style of teaching, we continue to work together and build off one another's ideas to enhance the learninging environment at Treetop Preschool.

Ms. Amy
I graduated with a Bachelors degree in business finance and a minor in economics, planning to work in the family business. After five years in the financial planning world, I decided to follow my heart and become a teacher. I entered the Masters in the Art of Teaching: Early Education program at George Fox University and was able to do my student teaching at Middleton Elementary here in Sherwood. I created friendships with the staff and continue to work with them to stay up to date with what kids need to succeed in Kindergarten and on.
I am a mother to two awesome kids, Brooklyn and Nolan. I created a school when I was unable to find something that met my high standards for my own son that balanced education, child development and independent thinking. Treetop started small with two classes and only myself teaching. However, within just a two years, we grew into six classes and three teachers. This school has become my third child and I am so grateful that we get to be a part of so many students' and their families' lives.
When I'm not working, you will find me hiking with my family, reading outside or at sporting events for my kids. My daughter plays club softball that keeps us traveling almost every weekend, and my son switches between football, basketball and baseball. We are a family that loves being outdoors and playing games, so if you see us around come say hi!

Ms. Megan
I graduated from the University of Oregon (Go Ducks!) with a B.S. in Educational Studies and a minor in Special Education, and a Master’s degree in Teaching and Learning. While I absolutely love teaching at the elementary level, I feel that there is something really special about working with children at the preschool level. It is a wonderful opportunity as an educator to get to introduce little ones to their first school experiences and create a foundation for a lifelong love of learning!
This is the age when they are learning the most through play, discovering their value as a member of the classroom community, getting delightfully messy, and realizing the value of perseverance. It is magical as a teacher to have the opportunity to guide and support their individual personalities and learning styles during this fundamental time in their education.
My husband, Kelley, and I live in Sherwood and have two wonderfully energetic boys, Max and Jack. When I am not in the classroom I can be found running around town with my big goofy dog, Barley, exploring the outdoors with my family, or enjoying a nice fire pit!

Ms. Katie
I grew up in San Diego and graduated from California State University, San Marcos with a Bachelor's degree in Human Development. Early childhood education is my passion and I have spent over a decade teaching in preschool classrooms and programs in San Diego, Virginia and the Portland area. My journey has been filled with joy, growth and fulfillment!
My goal is always to instill a sense of confidence, community, independence and a love of learning that will stay with little ones throughout their educational journey. This age is all about developing problem-solving skills and fostering their natural curiosity through play. My favorite part of teaching is getting to watch those precious moments of pride little ones feel when they master a new skill or make a new friend.
I live in Sherwood with my husband, Andrew, and my two boys, Owen & Jack. I love sports, traveling and spending lots of time with my two dogs!

Ms. Heidi
I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Child and Adolescent Development from San Jose State University, where I also attained my teaching credential in Early Childhood Special Education. I taught the Preschool Autism Special Day Class for the district I attended while growing up, in Morgan Hill, California. My family and I moved to Sherwood in 2021 and I began substitute teaching for the Sherwood School District. It was great getting to know the school staff and students in our community, but I could not wait to get back to my passion, teaching preschool.
What I love about this young age, is the care and support children have for each other, there is a strong sense of community in the classroom. It is a joy seeing how kids learn and grow through teacher lead instruction, hands on independent exploration, and social interactions. I look back on my own preschool experience with such fond memories, I want all of my students to have that, a love for learning and to be ready for Kindergarten.
My husband, Jordan, and I have two sweet, loving, chatty kids, Taylor and Jack, and an older fur baby, Willie. We enjoy exploring new places, doing fun activities, or just playing together. I also enjoy working on house projects, eating good food, and shopping!
